Photography by Will Leamon

I have been taking pictures since I was 18 and got my first camera. For a long time I rocked I Canon SLR but with the advent of digital photography I "downgraded" to what's known as a point and shoot camera (currently a Canon Elph). Though these cameras are now so sophisticated that I take umbrage with the term Point and Shoot. The point of it all is that I have never been much of a 'photographer'. I don't stage my shots, keep in-camera tricks to a minimum and hardly use Photoshop (though I am a crackhead for a well used sharpen tool - after all digitial is a little lossy).

Instead I take a documentary approach and try to simply capture what I see and this is best accomplished by ALWAYS carrying a tiny little camera that takes a damn fine shot. Here you'll find four albums I think best represent my work:

Historic Charleston

Europe

The Old Garden

Tallulah Gorge

Some Notes:

  • These links will open a new browser window to display slideshows from my Picasa account. Sorry I can't be bothered to cook up a snazzy flash presentation.
  • The album Europe was shot on the old SLR - in case you're wondering why it looks a little different from tthe rest.
  • The best way to keep up with new stuff I shoot is to follow me on Google Plus where I am also in-circle with a bunch of much better photographers - so that's a bonus.
